But is it progress? It gives a manpower and helps in achieving umteen material goals and mental satisfaction. But it does so, only for a certain class in the society. What of the poor laborers who pay back jobless due to technology? What of the fishermen who lose their catch because of technology? I think progress of a society has nothing to do with the fulfillment of vested interests of one class of the society. Progress on the societal aim has to be collec tive to be called progress. Technology has definitely helped in improving the living standard of man all around the globe. I am not against technology. It is not possible to imagine even the early mankind without technology.
